To continue the in-depth, ongoing and inclusive study regarding possible changes to the ABC to make delegate meetings sustainable, as well as strategies for maintaining volunteer support, and models to optimize meeting value and delegate experience. The study will continue to consider all fellowship viewpoints, and all delegates and members of the fellowship will continue to be invited to participate. Regular updates, findings, recommendations, and motions where appropriate, will be presented to delegates and the fellowship.

This revised purpose statement was approved by group conscience at the Sustainability meeting 23 August 2025.

How this Subcommittee was Created

This Subcommittee was created as a result of several directives from the Conference since 2022, and has absorbed the balance of the directives assigned to the ABC Study, which was initially created in response to ballot proposal 10 from the 2022 ABC, and the Sustainability Study, which was created as a result of the revision of ballot proposal 7 from the 2024 ABC. The Sustainability Study initially reported to the ABC Study, but was confirmed as a Subcommittee reporting directly to the ABC Committee at the Conference Business Meeting held on September 27, 2025.
