At Ease

by | Jul 1, 2022 | ACA And The Arts, ComLine

Remember your ease in the woods. Surrounded by big sister trees.
Embraced by winds that whisper “Listen. See. Breathe…”
Pine needle campfire you taste with your nose and a momentary whiff of syringa.

The place that is no place. No street signs, no traffic, no rushing.
Free of the advertising avalanche saying “Be better, be more!”
No spotlight gazes eat you up in bite size pieces.

Your performance is over. No curtain call needed. No encore display.
Your final bow long past since you entered the forest chapel.
Here there are no hungry eyes watching, wanting, judging.

Be at ease my sweet one. You are known by me as you truly are.
I want nothing from you. I want everything for you.
You need not win my affection with perfection.
