This is a first telling of my story. Nine images and two poems. When combined sequentially they illustrate the "big picture" while each individual file offers a specific slice of life. My voice was stolen from me as a child and at 50 I am finally learning how to articulate my truths.
It starts with pulling ourselves out of isolation, finding the courage and resilience to be brave and speak, knowing that we will be heard and believed.

FINDING U IN ME
Journey
for me
with me
in me
Frenzied.
Slow and low
You send me…
sent me
Know and hold me
Complete.
SPEAK
SEARCHING
HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS
BEHIND THE WALL
BLUE
SOLDIERING ON
GOOD GRIEF
PEACE
HELLO NICE TO MEET YOU
IN SUBMISSION
SPEAK !
I’ve no speech
nor speech
Searching.
the solitude
I am trapped within the confines of where Heart meets Home
When behind the wall,
cinnamon-blue-velvet strokes
encourage us
to soldier on.
Each step
Unraveling – reveling in
Good Grief
On a path toward peace.
In submission.
