In 2020, the Delegates passed a motion to ask the Literature Committee to create resources on boundaries. A working group was set up to begin this work. The group disbanded before it completed its work, but its preliminary work was incorporated into a format for a 22-week meeting about boundaries. That format was posted under Member Shared Resources for any group to use.
Based on the response to the boundaries’ meetings, a new writer team has begun the process of expanding and revising the format into book form. We have created an outline of chapters, which includes topics such as: Boundaries and the Laundry List, Boundaries and Culture, and What is A Healthy Relationship? We will be incorporating many resources throughout ACA, including The Bill of Rights, Safety Statements, and Conflict Resolution Tools.
We invite ACA members to share their experience with setting boundaries in shares that would go into the book.
