My Spiritual Experience

by | Jul 15, 2024 | ComLine, Voices of Recovery

Start with the courage to let go of what and whom I cannot change. I let it go and I feel It, what some of us choose to call God.

When I surrender instead of “fixating” on things, places, circumstances and people I am unable to “fix”, my mind gains the necessary space for me to see what my higher power will have me see in all Its clarity. What was that all about? What was that other person, situation… mirroring me? For I can only change the reflection.

I then embark on an intimate journey within. Into me I get to see, taking a courageous and honest look at my heritage.

All that’s been written in these spiraling genes of mine, after all, this is a GENErational caused dis-ease…one that was embedded to my core.

And those same spirals are a long line(age) with a great deal of a dysfunctional code, which used to be my modus operandi.

Unable to recover alone, I gather sometimes with a dear, trusted fellow or fellows (meetings) and my higher power to talk about it.

For it’s in those moments that I risk moving out of isolation that beautiful interchanges take place, where I receive priceless pieces of someone else's experiences that give me the strength and hope to correct my dysfunctional programming.

Then the healing process begins, humbly asking for my higher power’s help and accepting Its unconditional love while learning to love myself unconditionally. Regardless of other people, places and circumstances, regardless of all the failed attempts, I get to love myself and be loved through it all. Every single step of the day, approving of my actions and amending my thought pattern where and when needed, in my Loving Parent’s presence. For my thoughts become my words and my words become my actions…

I believe Its will for me is nothing but love so I ask for the power to carry it out in all my affairs.
This is the way my spiritual experience continues to manifest itself…

From a place of Love,
Clara T
