Hi. My name is Jeannie T, Florida.
I love ACA more than I can say. I am humbled and honored to be part of an organization that significantly impacts (the very much needed) individual and global healing.
On the topic of live ABC’s, I understand that we will see what the future holds, but if we are able to meet in person once again – may I please – with all of my heart, encourage the ACA delegates worldwide to do all they can to attend the ACA Annual Business Conferences in person!
I am not a wealthy person, but my home group and community assisted me, and I am thankful that I was able to serve as a delegate in Delray Beach, San Diego, Toronto, and Sweden.
I can only speak for myself but attending the live annual business conferences has been some of the most loving and meaningful experiences that I have ever known! Over the years, it was magnificent just to sit in a conference room with our fellow travelers from all over the world! Also, regardless of one’s beliefs, the loving energy toward making decisions about our common welfare is beautiful to behold. Plus, the interactions outside of the business meetings are valuable also.
Within service work, of course, there are always bumps and the possibility of personal agendas, but for the most part I have seen the highest caliber of people as our service members.
It is an honor to be on this path with those I have met serving ACA. The atmosphere of compassion, consciousness, kindness and understanding of all that we work and stand for is profound! Change takes time, but ACA has continued to do phenomenal work and we accomplish so much each year! Thank you to everyone for all you do.
I look forward to seeing all of you next year, whether that is in person or online. And, I hope that someday, before too long, it will be in person. There will always be the opportunity for delegates to attend online. Please let me know if you need ideas on how to get financial support to attend live.
With virtual ABC’s I see why the ABC and AWC had to be separated on the calendar because it is really exhausting for the tech teams, but when and if we go live and virtual again, I hope the AWC is right after the ABC so the delegates can be rewarded for their hard work with fun and cool convention stuff!
